If you want the former you will need to have a car if you stay near Parx. Depends if you want an actual vacation where you do things or only want to play poker. But honestly Parx is best place to play by far. If you can get a car it would be far better because you could hit other poker rooms (live in Philly or rivers in Philly). You can get a player rate of 129 a night - see the bottom of this page. If you mainly want to play at Parx and have no car I would stay at the courtyard Marriott which you can walk to (it’s basically just off the casino parking lot). There probably is, but it will be painful. Any public transit from downtown to the casino? I’d like to come by for a week, not sure whether to stay in Bensalem or downtown though.
